Draw your navamsa chart from your date, time and place of birth — the divisional chart classical astrology reads for marriage.
Navamsa (D9) divides each sign into nine parts of 3°20′ and places every planet in the sign of its part. It is read for marriage, the spouse and the inner strength of planets. This calculator uses the Swiss Ephemeris with Lahiri ayanamsa and runs inside your browser — nothing is sent anywhere.
The navamsa is the ninth varga (divisional chart). Where the birth chart (D1) shows what is promised, the navamsa is traditionally read for marriage and the spouse, and for how strong a planet really is underneath its birth-chart sign. A planet well placed in the birth chart but weak in the navamsa is read as delivering less than it promises; the reverse is read as a quiet strength.
Vargottama
When a planet sits in the same sign in the birth chart and the navamsa, it is vargottama — traditionally a mark of strength and consistent results. The calculator flags these for you.
For the spouse as a person, pair this with your Darakaraka. For timing, see when will I get married.
Birth time matters more here
The navamsa ascendant changes about every 13 minutes, so the D9 houses need an accurate birth time. Planet signs are steadier — except the Moon, which crosses a navamsa in roughly six hours.
MilanYog’s reading reads your navamsa together with your birth chart, Darakaraka and dasha periods: when marriage is likely, what your partner is like, and Manglik with every cancellation.

The ninth divisional chart (D9): each sign split into nine parts of 3°20′. It is read for marriage, the spouse and planetary strength.
Nine parts per sign, counted from Aries for fire signs, Capricorn for earth, Libra for air and Cancer for water. Each planet goes to the sign its part lands on.
A planet in the same sign in the birth chart and the navamsa. It is traditionally treated as strengthened.
Its ascendant changes about every 13 minutes, so the houses depend on the time. Planet signs are steadier, except the Moon.
